K9 Palmer is more than just an animal to his handler-he's a trusted work partner and a loyal companion. K9 Palmer is trained to track suspects, and search for missing individuals, showcasing his versatility and adaptability.
Palmer has been trained to detect illegal narcotics such as cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin.
Palmer is not an apprehension dog; you might see him visiting local schools, playing, and interacting with students.
The unit receives approximately 500 hours of training prior to going into service and is certified annually by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, United States Police Canine Association, and the National Police Canine Association.
