The City of Venice offers scenic areas for small wedding ceremonies from park gazebos to banyan trees and beach views. 

Beach wedding requests are managed by Sarasota County at scgov.net


Through the city's Public Use Policies & Ordinances, the following items and activities are prohibited during wedding ceremonies, park reservations or events: 

  • No wedding receptions on city-owned park properties.  
  • No glass. 
  • No consumption of alcohol.
  • No confetti, artificial petals, or material difficult to remove or harmful to the environment. 
  • No balloon releases, sky lanterns or objects that interfere with aviation routes. 
  • No drones. 
  • No tents larger than 10 x 10 feet. 
  • No sales of food, alcohol, goods or services.

Note: Decorations are allowed as long as easily removable and limit damage to city property. Sidewalks, walkways, and entrances/exits must remain accessible and open. Signage is allowed with in certain areas of parks and public right-of-way.


City of Venice Code of Conduct: Harassment, discrimination, disruptive behavior that is degrading or disrespect to others is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to in-person interactions/speech, written communication, apparel, signs, banners, or merchandise, etc.
