South Jetty at Humphris Park

  Closed 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly. Vehicles remaining in the parking lot will be towed or locked in overnight. 
   
Named after Thomas H. Humphris, who served as the City of Venice mayor from 1972-73, the South Jetty is a popular destination for residents and visitors to enjoy fishing, Gulf views and beautiful sunsets. The South Jetty is also home to the City's annual July Fourth fireworks display. 
   
Amenities: Picnic tables, benches, showers, restrooms, food concession, ADA parking, walking path, fishing.

Dogs are permitted within the parking area of Humphris Park, on-leash only, meaning the animal is fully under the owner’s control and attached by a leash no longer than 6 feet. Dogs are prohibited on the South Jetty walkway and sandy beach.Pet owners must pick up and properly dispose of pest waste in trash receptacles.
 
 A note to anglers, the Venice Fishing Pier is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
