Criminal Investigation Division Commander Capt. Eric Hill
Captain Hill moved to Venice from Indianapolis when he was 12 years old. He initially joined the Venice Police Department in 2000 as a dispatcher and became a law enforcement officer for the agency in 2001 and quickly rose through the ranks - promoted to Detective in 2003, Sergeant in 2006, Lieutenant in 2007, then Captain in 2018.
He is currently assigned as the Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division and is responsible for the Detective Bureau, SITE Team, and Criminalistics Unit.
Captain Hill graduated from the 270th class of the FBI National Law Enforcement Academy and completed the St. Leo University Command Officer Management School.
