Ordinance No 2009-07 limits what kinds of nutrients you should apply to your lawn. 

Nitrogen-

Nitrogen fertilizer must contain at least 50% Slowly Available or Slow Release Nitrogen. No more than 4lbs/1000 sq ft per year may be applied to turf

Phosphorous-

Shall not exceed 0.25lbs/1000 sq ft per application, nor exceed 0.5lbs/1000 sq ft per year.

Homemade Weed Killer

1/4 cup of dish soap

2 cup of Epsom salts

1 gallon of white distilled vinegar

Mix together and pour in a pump sprayer for application 

**For Best Results use during the sunniest time of day and not within 2 hours of rain**

The most environmentally friendly way to remove weeds is still old fashioned weeding.
