UPDATE 10/30: Due to debris piles from recent hurricanes on island streets and the City’s contracted debris haulers actively working on the roadways, as well as the closure of Humphris Park at the South Jetty, the Monthly City Bike Ride for November will start at Venice City Hall but take a different, slightly longer route that includes a section of the Venetian Waterway Park trail, see below map.

 

City Bicycle Pedestrian Coordinator Darlene Culpepper, who leads the rides, will address debris hazards and visibility issues in her pre-ride safety briefing. At the next ride on Thursday, Nov. 14, consultants will be present to hear citizens’ input on multi-modal planning for Venice. Bring your bicycle and a helmet, and meet in the west parking lot of City Hall, 401 W. Venice Ave., at 10 a.m. Nov. 14.
