A 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony will be held at Patriots Park, 800 Venetia Bay Blvd., Venice, from 11 a.m. to noon Monday, Sept. 11.

The event will include first responders with emergency vehicles, speeches and tributes, American Legion Color Guard NOVEL Post 159 presenting the colors, Venice Fire Rescue bell ringing for those lost, a rifle salute, and music including Lion Rampant Pipe and Drum. Keynote speaker will be Mike Halpin, Community Resource Officer with the Venice Police Department. All are invited; bring chairs.

Patriots Park includes a 2-ton steel beam from the World Trade Center wreckage on 9/11 and a piece of rubble from the attack on the Pentagon.
