The City of Venice is re-entering special events with a small concert series hosted by Venice MainStreet at the Centennial Park Gazebo, with the first concert slated for 7 p.m. Nov. 13. Local band the Cry'n Shames will perform.

Venice MainStreet has worked diligently with the City of Venice and will follow CDC guidelines for safety during the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. Event attendees must preregister for the free concert on the website www.visitvenicefl.org as seating will be limited inside the event space. Attendees will be required to wear masks. Boundaries will be in place and everyone is asked to remain in the socially distant safety zones assigned to groups.

The City is allowing this small event first to strongly encourage safe participation by the event holder and attendees, and to incorporate what is learned from this concert series into other special events in the City at a future date.
