OneBlood will hold a blood drive Wednesday, April 1 outside Venice City Hall, 401 W. Venice Ave., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

OneBlood officials are expecting a significant drop in blood donations, and encourage those who feel well and are not experiencing flu-like symptoms to come out and donate the “gift of life” aboard the Big Red Bus to ensure that blood is available for those patients who need it.

All blood donors will receive a FREE $20 e-gift card, stainless-steel water bottle, and a Bealls extra discount coupon. The $20 e-gift card can be redeemed for donor’s choice of Amazon.com, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Barnes & Noble, Chili’s Grill & Bar, Cracker Barrel, Nike, Home Depot, AMC Theaters, Domino’s Pizza, iTunes, Jiffy Lube, Logan’s Roadhouse, Panera, Regal Theaters, TGI Fridays, Target or Walmart.

Donors also receive a wellness checkup including blood pressure, temperature, iron count, pulse and cholesterol screening; and a snack.
