A City of Venice Land Development Regulations (LDR) Update Overview will be held for the City Planning Commission at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9 at Community Hall at City Hall. This workshop is open to the public.

The LDR, which is often referred to as Zoning Code, establishes development standards to implement the Comprehensive Plan that serves as the community vision for Venice’s built environment. This workshop will cover the key concepts and implementation of the 2017 Comprehensive Plan for traditional zoning districts including residential and non-residential, and planned zoning districts including mixed-use residential.

This workshop will include the discussion of specific traditional districts proposed as Section 4 of Chapter 87 of the LDR. The discussion topics include types of districts, the existing zoning districts, proposed zoning districts, and the associated zoning district development standards.
