The City Public Works Department is once again teaming up with the Venice-Nokomis Rotary's 28th Annual Fine Arts & Crafts Festival at the Festival Grounds for this Road-E-O event. Watch our talented heavy equipment operators from Public Works and Utilities navigate a skills testing course. In addition to the competitions, there will be equipment static displays, children's activities, music and face painting.

Admission is only $3 for both events. Kids under 12 are admitted free.

Saturday schedule is as follows:

• 10:30 a.m. — We will be receiving a visit from the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Helicopter. They plan to be there until 2 p.m. Saturday (subject to change based on needs).
• 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.—Watch City employees operate heavy equipment, showcasing their skills in a challenging course competition. 
• 1-1:30 p.m. — We will be announcing the winners of the Road-E-O.
• 1:30 p.m. — Watch our amazing Venice Fire Department perform an extrication demonstration.
