The 1st City of Venice Public Works Road-E-O is set for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Airport Festival Grounds.

This COV event is being held in conjunction with the Venice-Nokomis Rotary 26th Annual Fine Arts & Crafts Festival. $3 admission covers both events.

At the Road-E-O, watch City heavy equipment operators compete in a skill testing course. A contest schedule for Saturday is as follows:

MORNING COMPETITIONS

• Claw truck
• Mini excavator
• Large tire backhoe

 POLICE HALFTIME SHOW – AROUND NOON

 AFTERNOON COMPETITIONS

• Vacuum truck
• Firetruck
• Solid Waste/front loader

 Kids will also be able to sit in some of the big trucks!
