The Venice Aviation Society’s speaker on Jan. 12 at City Hall will be Dr. Tony Rizzo. Dr. Rizzo is dual-trained as a General Surgeon and Aerospace Medicine Physician. During his distinguished career, among other prestigious assignments, he served as an Air Force Flight Surgeon, Space Shuttle Flight Surgeon and Director of the National Center for Medical Intelligence. He is a Professor of Anatomy and Physiology at Polk State College. Dr. Rizzo guest lectures in the Polk State College Aerospace Program, and is a member of Polk's Aerospace Safety Committee. 

Dr. Rizzo’s topic is "The Aging Pilot," but his presentation applies to everyone: Why your body ages, what you do to contribute to that aging process and what you can do to mitigate the inevitable.
