There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new William H. Jervey Jr. Venice Public Library on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 300 Nokomis Ave. S. on the island of Venice. The location is near the Venice Community Center and the Venice Museum and Archives/Triangle Inn.
According to Sarabeth Kalajian, Director of Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources, the welcome and remarks will begin at 9 a.m., with the ribbon-cutting to open the library to follow.
Activities and entertainment are scheduled throughout the rest of the day. All are invited.
