Hundreds of Venice area children (and some adults) are choosing their costumes to show off in the Annual Venice MainStreet/Venice Lions Halloween Parade, Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 4 p.m. in Centennial Park. The parade down West Venice Avenue will begin promptly at 4:30 p.m.
More than 500 children are expected to receive candy treats from the members of the Venice Lions Club, sponsors of the parade for 60 years. Following the brief parade, children will be free to Trick or Treat for more goodies at stores along Venice Ave.
“This is a chance for our kids to show off their costumes to the delight of spectators, parents and grandparents,” says Venice Lion Barry Sullivan who has managed the parade for 11 years. “It is an event that everyone enjoys and we are delighted to partner with Venice MainStreet and the merchants to make this annual event a showcase for our downtown.”
