This fundraiser's proceeds benefit the Lord-Higel House restoration and features Jim Clinch as a speaker. Jim is an insurance agent with Roberts Insurance Group and has written two humorous novels inspired by the loveable (and sometimes not so loveable) kooks that live in and migrate to the Sunshine State. In these novels, Canterbury's Tale and Pink Gin Rickey, the main character is a socially selective, emotionally damaged misanthrope solving mysteries in a Florida beach town. Jim is quick to point out that any resemblance between his beach bum protagonist, Canterbury Garfield, and himself is purely coincidental.
