The Wildlife Center of Venice is planning to release several pelicans that were injured and have been rehabilitated at the facility.

The public is invited to attend this event and should be at the release site no later than 5:45 p.m. Saturday. The pelicans will arrive and immediately be released on the beach just west of the North Jetty parking lot (not the jetty itself).

Raffle tickets will be available onsite for the opportunity to release a pelican from its carrier. For more information, call the Wildlife Center of Venice at 941-484-9657.
