Underwater Cleanup event (trash removal)
Venice Mooring Fields

9 a.m. until noon
SunCoast Reef Rovers SCUBA Dive Club need the following volunteers:
- 15 to 18 certified divers (comfortable diving in low visibility water)
- 1 to 3 snorkelers (comfortable diving in low visibility water)
- 10 to 15 topsider helpers (comfortable working with debris)
- 13 to 15 kayakers (must bring your own kayak)
- 6 tandem kayaks would be ideal out of the 13 to 15 kayaks
Venice Moorings Field is the sailboat mooring area near the Venice Yacht Club, water depth ranges from 3 to 12 feet
Boat transportation to the site will only be available by the Venice Police, Fire Department and Sea Tow.

Safety/logistics briefing will begin at 9 a.m. at the Higel Boat Ramp on 4/28/19. Everyone involved must attend the safety briefing.
The Crow’s Nest restaurant has graciously volunteered to feed lunch to volunteers signed up in advance to assist with the Venice Mooring Field underwater cleanup event.
